some stuff abt uni...

Hey guys,

university life is starting.. feeling excited abt it?? Haha.. anyway I think it would be nice to share some of my experiences… so that you can a preview n noe wats in stored for u… its gonna b a long post.. so here goes…

1. Join Orientation Camps.

Honestly speaking I think my uni life would be totally different if I had skipped the business freshmen orientation camp. You make friends in the camp. You get to know people before the actual school starts and usually those people who go for the camps would be the active ones in the faculty, which includes you. this is important because you need to get urself involved in activities to lead an enriching uni life. You get to noe seniors who would help you bid for ur modules, plan ur timetable, tell you inside info abt the classes, professors, etc. N you can buy their used textbks from them at a lower price! Haha.. most imptly, you can make use of this opportunity to find like-minded frens for company for all future activities that u wish to participate in… n you noe who to do projs wif n take classes wif… coz it is terrible to do projs wif ppl who tend to slack.. ur grades will b affected.. so spot e zai ppl for e benefit of ur grades.. hahahaha…

2. keep urself aware of activities n events going on in ur faculty and sch.

There are many opportunities such as competitions, scholarships, student exchange programs, NUS overseas college program, summer schs, etc, for u to take part in. this adds colour to ur uni life coz this is the last time u get to do all these before gg to work. Actively participate! So u will have a very exciting n fun uni life n it will look gd on ur resume.. J

3. Try to stay in hall for at least one semester.

I m not really a hall person n not that I enjoy hall life a lot. But I feel that hall is an essential part of the uni experience. Again there are many many activities for u to join n u have to participate in order to get points to stay on. Making frens, staying out on ur own, having ur frens as ur neighbours, late nite running, mahjong, suppers, gossip n drinking sessions, a v diff experience altogether. N u only have to wake up 15min before classes.. heh…

4. Study!

Haha.. pls rem to study when doing all e fun stuff…usually most ppl dun do too well in their first semester coz they play too much.. so to gain an edge over the rest.. do well for ur first sem… it would b much easier later on to maintain ur grades… dun think that its only e first sem n its not impt coz its e most impt n its v tedious to try n pull up ur grades after that… seriously… plan ur classes early n carefully… esp if u wanna go for exchange.. rem to complete the core modules first.. n basically u have to find out abt stuff early to increase ur awareness… n rem to b in e gd bks of ur tutors n profs…

5. go for an overseas stint, b it summer sch, exchange or NOC.!

Really fun n a v diff experience.. only once in a lifetime.. n they r usually partially subsidied…

6. lastly, if u have any queries, u can always ask e girls…

coz we have already been in uni for 2 yrs.. n we r so nice we will try to help as much we can.. haha… I think uni is e most fun out of all the yrs of education.. so look forward n enjoy it! E above mentioned r my experiences in NUS Business Sch n Kent Ridge Hall… so it may not b exactly e same for NTU, SMU n other faculties but should be generally similar…

HK Drama fanatics!!

If u are into HK drama, i highly recommend this drama for the fact that:
1) From my experience in HK drama, this is a good one.
2) It has the highest viewer rates in HK television for a HK drama.
3) It's the 2nd highesr viewer rates in HK television for worldwide drama..just behind Da Chang Jin.

So what are u all waiting for?
If u are too free at home, rent the drama and watch to kill time.
If u are too busy with work, rent the drama and watch to relief urself from the stress.
